My87-year-olddadallsetfortheday.jpg

My 87-year-old dad all set for the day. Peach and I picked up my dad, his wife, and my sister, and then we traveled about a hundred miles
to where Peach's sister and her husband ranch. We had dinner and a good visit, and then climbed to the top of Hackberry Hill
on the south side of the North Loup River for a look out across the surrounding countryside.

It worked. Peach's sister is kneeling in the front row on the left. Her husband is the other fellow with a black hat,
and his parents are right in front of me. Peach's mother is third from the left.

Happy couple

We had a fun and enjoyable day. Quite a few attended a nearby church service in the evening.

Great pictures, Soap. Thanks for sharing your day with us.
I especially like the last picture of you and Peach together.
That's a good 'un.

Your dad looks quite dapper and his wife looks like a sweet lady.

Brock and his bride must have been somewhere else, as I noticed they
weren't in the pictures. Neither was the bloodhound.

Somebody had to hold down the fort and calve out cows. They got Saturday off for an excursion to Rapid City.

I just showed Ty an old corner mound out in the bush-I don't know how they surveyed through all that thick bush-those guys must of been made of stern stuff-there was no DEET back then and I'm sure there were mosquitoes.

Soapweed how far is hackberry hill from your place? I had some cows on the north loup a couple years ago but it was the opposite end of cherry county from you. I enjoy your pictures by the way.

Hackberry Hill is about a hundred miles from our ranch, on land owned by Peach's sister and her husband, and his folks. I apologize for not being more explicit with the picture captions, and have edited the post accordingly. Thanks for bearing with me.

That's ok Soapweed I just figured you to be a ways from the north loup. We had cows west of purdum and I knew that was a good distance from you. That's pretty country thanks for posting the pictures.
