Well I guess most of y'all know I write and recite a little cowboy poetry. I've been out to Elko Nevada for the big gathering in late January several times as a spectator to see the professional folks do it and to listen to good cowboy music. Earlier this year, with a fair bit of "nudging" from my wife and daughter, I submitted some stuff to see if I might get to give it a go out there at some programs they put on. Well, the invite came for November 19th as part of an open mic program. I'm sure nervous and excited. I'll include the link as it will be live streamed. So if you're low on misery and need to get filled back up, listen at your own risk. I'll have about ten minutes of a two hour program. And they said depending on who accepts other invites, I may have a little extra time. So I guess we will make a trip west and see how it goes. Would appreciate any positive thoughts ya have laying around. I'm just an amateur at this stuff and crowds make me flighty like an old range cow.
