Daily Update for Friday July 8
July 08, 2005
Author: Canadian Cattlemen's Association

This is the daily update for Friday July 8 brought to you by the Canadian Cattlemen's Association and BMO Bank of Montreal.

New Zealand has announced it is removing all remaining restrictions on imports of Canadian beef and recognizes Canada's consumer safeguards are equivalent to New Zealand's. While New Zealand is not a significant market for Canadian beef, this announcement, from a country considered free of BSE, is a strong endorsement of Canada's food safety measures.

This update has been brought to you by the Canadian Cattlemen's Association and BMO Bank of Montreal.
