Cant forget the hound....looking for something to chase

Welcome to the forum, Rising Creek Ranch.

Great pictures of some good looking cattle and cattle country. And that bull sure earned his keep!

A water supply like that is a real gift.

Great pictures Rising Creek Ranch... Those springs are sure showing their worth with the dry fall we have been having...

Needed some fixing this year but it should work well.
Lucked out with bull as we kept the neighbors PB heifers to breed early in the year and got to use him for free (and a yearling bull)on our own.

Nicky - She is a greyhound/Irish wolfhound cross. Would call her a Coyote hound I guess.

Jigger Boss - Camera is a Kodak Z7590 (had it for quite awhile)

Always nice seeing everyone elses pics up here thought I would try putting some of our own up!!

Welcome to ranchers!! Nice that you figured the picture thing out already.
Please notice that we have a weekly Photo Contest (it's at the bottom
of the page).

Enjoyed the pictures of some good looking cattle. When we first started in this business,
I always liked the roan cows the best! I got out-voted then, and though we never had any, I like seeing them.

welcome and congrats on a bunch of nice cattle. Do you use the coyote hound for it's intended job? we used to have a few coyote hunters around here that used dog's. another one of those dying breed thing's i guess
:(

The people I got her from do run coyotes. Seems that there is more people getting back into it (at least in the area where she came from). She ran one down while we were out checking cows this summer but then she didn' quite know what to do with it. She is not yet 10 months old so she has some growing left to do!

As for the White Park cattle... I had to google that and she sure does look like one!! I had her mother and they are all identical in markings. Purchased her mother with some others at Longhorn sale....But you never know she might have some in her!!!

I too, thought she might be a White Park, but with the longhorns behind her, I'm sure she is just a longhorn. She's not the first Longhorn marked like a White Park.

The banker in SW Montana had White Parks just down the road from us so
I am familiar with them. If not for that, I wouldn't have any idea what a White Park was.

Great pictures, you shouldn't of posted that picture of the coyote hound, now I got the bug again.
Me to. I hunted with dogs a ton before i met my wife  That's acctually how I met my wife. Her brother hunts with dogs and he introduced us. Now it seems i dont have time with kids and such being to busy in the summer winter is family time for me

Nice pictures. I really like the first one for some reason the cattle and the fence together.
