Moved bulls to new pasture yesterday and snapped a few pics along the way.

Found this beaver dam.

Hannah my youngest daughter and Anne, from France were along to help.

View to the southwest, lots of dead willows evident from all the previous drought.

Here comes the wayward bull.

Climbing out right into a willow.

Dogs discussing the situation with another bull that wanted to go north instead of east, he almost beat the dogs across.

Turned and coming back.
PIC_9143.jpg

Maybe not, he loafed for a good 5 minutes and was completely content to stay in the water till we went away.

Trixie decides to up the anti.
PIC_9168.jpg

A not so polite nip to the face.
PIC_9169.jpg

He decided coming back wasn't that bad an idea.

The swimmer reluctantly gets out.

Looking good...Yep dogs are sure handy when you got bulls wanting to waterhole up...

Speaking of bulls- I was just looking thru Kits bull sale catalog- and saw your name mentioned along with a learned quote ....

Quite frankly, bulls in the water in October at Hanna is kind of freaky...
Great pics.
We are nearly done with cutting our first cut of hay for the year here a bit further north of you...

No kidding, I was surprised to see bulls swimming there a month ago let alone in October. Sure is pretty there right now.

Must of been the day for cows to swim-those purebred cows I bought this winter quit the bunch and went on an adventure yesterday. Ty and his buddy were bringing them home when they decided to jump in the creek-the farmers have trenched it so the banks are too steep to climb out so they had a half mile swim pretty played out cows. Usually not much water in it this time of year but it's running fast and deep this year lucky they were with the current. Our little Idaho Shag is working good so I maybe have finally got a good dog to go with the wife and horse lol.

Put up a current picture of your 'Idaho Shag' would you, NR?
I'd like to see what she looks like now. She was such a cute pup.

Dylan, where did those dogs come from? Did you train them?
How long have you had them? Did you say they were Border
Collies? They are amazing...

A learned quote? That's a stretch, I figured he had quit quoting me years ago, he must be hard up for material! :D :D

Freaky is right, we finally finished cutting a couple of days ago, should be finished baling today, a lot better challenge then last year with no hay at all!

Per how goes the harvest? Thanks for the contact info. :)

FH, did you make it to Alaska, do you have any pics? Hope you had a good trip.

About the dogs, the two black and white Border Collies are from Kevin Meyers, Mantz Creek Ranch, Douglas Wyoming. I got them at 5 months old in 2006. King the red one is a locally bred McCallum Border Collie he is 2.
I do my own training if you can even call it that. :)

Yep, we made it to Alaska and home again. I have posted some
pictures of visits with per and his dad and BMR. Have others yet to post, thanks for asking.
We were gone 29 days and travelled 7350 miles round-trip.

Those are amazing dogs. I'm sorry that it didn't work out so we
could see them. Mr. FH really enjoys dogs. I do too, but I think
dogs are his favorite creature on this earth. He would have enjoyed
seeing them. Maybe next time.

Thanks for the great pictures! They are most entertaining with your dogs doing their job so well.

Thank you, the dogs have there helpful moments that's for sure and a few where they aren't so helpful but that is part of the deal when you have young dogs learning on the fly.

Glad you like the pics. :)
