fall rye/yellow sweet clover

inspired by the other thread, and planning on seeding some fall rye in a month or so i was wondering if anyone has intercropped it with sweet clover. advantages? disadvantages?

I would plan on making silage. That would be the best use for both of those crops.

I would be really careful making silage out of sweet clover, if it gets moldy you could kill some of your cattle.

I would try Hairy Vetch instead of clover. It is winter hardy and makes great feed. I seed it with winter triticale but rye is almost the same thing.
