I've had myself a to-do list every year since we bought our ground and planted our home. Usually I get a couple done and 3 times that many just sit there blinking at me! So I took a couple of days and tackled one thats been bugging me....... I built a fence around our yard out front. Little H has had her parole revoked and been sent back to finish out the remainder of her sentence in elementary school, so Littlest H had to fill in as my "hired help".

We cut some cedar post and I sorted through my pine pole stack for the little ones and we cobbled together a fence of sorts.

Here we are tamping in our new gate post. That little dude is a post hole digging little bugger! He wore ol' dad almost out.

We have a lot of fun working on little projects like this. My folks always let us tag along no matter how much probably got in the way. It tickles me that my two papooses like to help!

We did sneak out one morning and go hunt for a dove or two. The dove hunt opened on one of my days off so me and my retriever went out looking. Ended up with two which was pretty pitiful but the little guy was all grins!

Here's the finished product that keeps the house from getting away.

Lookin' good, Leanin' H. That house shouldn't get away now.

I was about your son's age, and was "helping" my dad as he built a little knick-knack towel rack cabinet deal for the bathroom. He turned his head for a moment, or maybe left the room, but I picked up the saw and cut a substantial groove in one of the boards that was sanded and ready to install. He discovered the problem, and I got a fairly adequate chewing out. Blinking back tears, I was heard to say, "Oh, Daddy, what would we ever do without you?" This was a case where forgiveness came easier than permission.

Keep showing off your fence building skills and you might find a plane ticket in your mail box for northern BC.

Looks good. :D

Wonder if he can dig and tamp faster than an excavator with a vibrator?

Could anyone give me an estimate on air cargo express from Utah to Anahim Lake? I don't believe special handling is required, just a simple rubber container with some airholes punched through.

You may need a couple strips of jerky and a can of Pepsi as enticement to get subject loaded.

Jody, I have to clarify your spelling.

Hors, do you mean the kind you handle cattle with or the kind with too much make-up and high heels? :? :D

Oh, I know all about clay Jody! My bar was nocking off pieces that looked like i'd used a cheese grater on a chocolate bar. I'd give a lot of money for nice sandy soil instead of clay and boulders! And I always thought that big fish were good but big hors were not very desirable!

If that's all it takes to get our new corrals built at Morrison Meadow you better start putting one in front of the other tonight. Yanuck might poach one of those trout to feed you on your way by. :D

We aren't worrying about any specifications on the hors now, are we?

We're right uptown, 1 1/2 mile paved strip, daily flight to Vancouver. The air drop would be handy if it could be done to the jobsite. Save driving to town for pick-up.

Looks go H but I think a go 5 stand barb would keep the lawn mowers from escaping :???:
