Things have settled down and I finally have time to post some pictures. It's been a busy but good summer. Had some timely rains in May and June so had an excellent hay crop in spite of not great irrigating water.
Here are some 2nd cutting alfafa pictures. Ended up with 150 bales more than last year
And may still get some 3rd.
A big part of our summer is training bird dogs. The kennel was full and kept us quite busy. After tomorrow we will only have 5 left in the kennel
It was a good grass year and the cattle are doing well, had green grass much longer than normal for here.
Have a couple colts coming along nicely (no pics of them...sorry). But here are few wildlife pictures I took while riding one of them the other day.
A young blue grouse who wouldn't get out of my way.

A herd of about 80 elk...they didn't knock that fence down, it was already like that. But we did have to fix a bunch of fence where they went across the road on their way out. :x
