We invited a bunch of town people from church out to have a picnic in our back yard today. Figured to do it before it got too hot. Well, I got that part right. The high for today is forecast at 57. It is 57 right now it might hit 58. Been in the 80's for 2 weeks. I have 20 people coming out to grill some burgers and the temperature drops 20 degrees. Now it has started to rain. Hasn't rained in a couple months but I have 20 people invited so it has started. So much for eating in the backyard. I am think in the house or on the covered deck. I could think of other things which could go wrong but I don't want to jinx myself. If they don't show up we will have a lot of burgers and hot dogs to eat

Hope you have a good turnout and at the same time get enough rain to dampen things a bit

The coastal strip here has been getting rain yesterday and today. Wish we could have gotten it a couple weeks ago to slow the drying process, but it is still greatly appreciated.

We had wind the night before last and it blew most of the day yesterday. Our closest neighbors who are German Baptist had their big annual auction yesterday, They have 4 rings going simultaneously. They had a big tent set up that got destroyed during the night. Turned into a lot of extra work for them. We don't usually have bad winds this time of year. It blew down a big aspen tree by my M&D's old house and my grandparents old house lost several trees. Our wind gauge recorded a 84 mph high but I've heard some had it in the 90's.
