We were Ford people for years and years. We bought that first Dodge and
felt like traitors. But we liked it so much we got over that feeling. Then
when we bought the '06 brand new, we thought we'd try a Ford again. The
dealership we dealt with sold both Fords and Dodge. When we went into
the dealership and told the salesman what we wanted, he said he wouldn't
sell us a Ford. He said they had 10 Fords in the shop to 1 Dodge!!!
So we bought a Dodge. Now I think the Fords are better, but back then
they must have had some serious problems for him to tell us that--as
he sold them both. These have all been 1 ton dually's and when they go
out of the yard, 99% of the time they are pulling a trailer.
Sure isn't gonna be any fun buying 6 tires when the time comes!!!
Luckily the dealership put some really good tires on this pickup when we
bought it. I hope they last forever.
Speaking of which, we bought Goodyear Armours for our Yukon and so
far we have 60,000 miles on them and they aren't done yet. That's unheard
of for us, because we have 3 miles of scoria to drive on to get to the
highway.
