Love watching track meets,both my children were strong competitors in track.
Your son looks to be on the Olympic track there Jigs....encourage that interest.

My youngest Emily is our trackster-she got second in long jump hasn't quite figured out to jump at the board. She won the 60m, 200m and 400m though-doesn't get it from me I hated track with a passion. The only thing I liked was hunting seagulls with the javelin lol.

Looks like another reason to be poor. There are just some things you don't want to afford.
. . . . .last year a 7th grader at my school jumped 16.2 feet! He also competed in the high jump....5.6 feet was the highest for him........
He is an 8th grader this year and can jump up and hang off of the basketball goal's rim!

My experience with track meets is it's kinda like watching paint dry. The races and such are ok but the other when you stand around forever to find out. I think I lack patience or something. :?
We hunted Pheasants on a Hutterite colony a few years ago. Seems like I remember some talk of asking my oldest son to stay for a week or two.
If memory serves me he ran all the way back to the Air Force base in Omaha.

He was a very nice man and the only difference I could tell is he never cussed and when everyone else broke into the beer he had the nonalcholic stuff. :drink: It was my first experience ever being around anyone of that faith.

Boy thats different from the Hoots around here-- I've seen them load up a whole pickup bed with beer when some store was running a sale - and old Poppa Hoot loves to come in the waterhole when they're going around town selling "cheekins" or vegetables and have a few snorts of Black Velvet (especially if someone else buys them :wink: )
