I heard my youngest Grandson outside this morning singing a new song he made up. Then it hit me....OH Jeez I better see what the boy is up to this time!!

The following pictures is what I found! Hope they make you smile like they did me. It wasn't at all what I expected. This is the Grandson that if you don't hear a sound from for a minute or two, you better see what he's up to if ya know what I mean?? He keeps me on my toes. I never thought I would be soooo happy to see that yellow school bus in the mornings   J/K but that boy does wear me out!

Enjoy!

How neat. I love grandkids.....I finally understand what all those old fogies at church used to say....."If I had know how much fun grandkids were, I'd of had them first."

Grandkids are God's way of thanking us for raising good kids!! My daughter is a single parent who works ALL the time so the boys spend alot of time with Grammy!!
Hubby says "No matter how broke we are at the end of the day, we will always be Rich in Kids, Cows And Crap! Lots of the last one

I am one of those people who never has a camera when I need one! Just so happens my son had left it right by the front door. He had been taking pictures of all the smoke around us from the Big Bear CA. fire, otherwise I would never have gotten the pups in their ANTIQUE car!

Cute as a bunch of spotted pups in a red wagon!!
Actually, grandkids are our reward for not killing our own kids.(just kidding~just kiddinggggg)

What a great pic NewMexico Bound! :D
Now that is a Kodak moment! Of course now it's a digital moment.

I wrote a poem about dogs a couple years ago and it seems to fit this pic and forum to a T. Hope you don't mind if I share it here.

My Partner

I know there been a million
Or perhaps maybe even two
Poems and stories written or told
About their dogs and what they do

You might have gotten a puppy
Or a stray came wandering in
It doesn't matter how you got one
That' s when the bondings begin

To me it's just part of living
On a farm, out on the ranch
Maybe you got one for working
Or just to fetch a branch

They quickly become a part of you
And never let you down
Whenever it's time to go to work
They'll always be around

Sure there'll be times, when they're young
A little patience is demanded
But with some love and understanding
That wild thing can be commanded

Soon he'll be a bounding
Behind you when you ride
Ready to chase or watch a gate
You'll speak of that furball with pride

Then he'll be a passenger
With his ears flowing in the breeze
Happily looking out the window
At the livestock and the trees

Every dog is different
Yet all are somewhat the same
And they really got those cats beat badly
Cause they come, when you call their name !

Show me a cat that will watch a gate
Or take on angry bull
Yet sit quietly with his head upon your lap
If you really want him too

When you have a bad day
Or just feel tough and crappy
Just whistle for your buddy
He'll help to make you happy.

So Give that canine a great big hug
Don't worry about those fleas
Sure he might roll in dead stuff
But he's always there to please!

I hope all country kids will have one
When they're growing up
It's Something to protect them and play with
A warm, ambitious , fuzzy , pup!

Nice poem EmptyPockets :D
They may look cute but I have had it with these little Buggars! There is not a chicken or garden hose safe on this place!! Every hose in the yard has a few extra "sprays" where there shouldnt be!
I gave one away yesterday but have 5 left. I only let the mom have this litter because a friend works with dogs for blind children and she wanted them. She has taken 2 other litters before. When she found out I was taking her to get her fixed she said NOOO I need one more litter. Now, she had to have back surgery and can't take them so I'm stuck with the little brats! Oh well guess I'll put an ad in the paper tomorrow. I have never sold a dog I'm just going to give them away.

The local Rodeo was a few weekends ago. My son took them over to the Marine Base rodeo grounds and got rid of all but one of them.
We had noticed she was deaf. Hubby has takin a likin to her so I guess she will be staying. She has started to work pretty good as long as she can see him. They have their own little sign language going on. She stays right next to hubby until he tells her she can get the cows. It's almost like she knows she can't hear and depends on him to tell her what to do. Seems like she doesn't have that "get em get em get em" mentality like other heeler pups do. She waits for him to tell her! The only bad part is if he makes her wait too long she gets bored and lays down to take a nap! Then he has to go over to where she is and touch her to wake her up.
It's really amusing to watch though.

We have a friend who has a deaf red heeler. Wonder if that is a common problem with them? Her name is Tinkerbell and she is really good at sign language. She is just a pet though, not a working dog. Cute picture, and glad you found homes for them :D

My heeler seems to have ' optional' hearing!!!!

She seems to turn it off and on rather fast!!!
