very good song....has a neat story to it. i think it should be God is great, beer is great, people are crazy. the only thing that would make that song better is if someone else sang it.

And who else should sing it?

I think the right guy is singing it! 8)
The right voice, the right melody, right tempo. I don't think anyone else would have had the success that song is havin' right now.
And the video is great, too!

i think that there are some others that would have had success with that song. i saw this guy interviewed a couple times.....he's a little different, or a lot different. now if you are a big billy fan, don't get all worked up. i just don't like the guy.
george strait could have sung the hell out of this song, but there are others to.

I thought you would prefer someone like Carrie Underwood or Julianne Huff! ........don't know if I spelled that right.

No Carrie for me.
She's a flaming vegatarian.

Remember when they hired her to entertain the FFA kids at
the national level? When the kids found out she was a vegatarian,
some of them walked out.

Why can't she just sing and not make a big deal out of what she eats?

i agree, makes no difference to me.

Yeah, right! A female singer, singin' about beer, bars and babes! :o  I don't think so........
And King George is too clean cut to sing about the same stuff!
I like George, (have all his songs), but this is the right guy for this song!
If it wasn't, the writer would've sent it to George! 8)

ever heard of Gretchen Wilson....thats all she sings about.
and you must be missing a few of George's songs......hes got a couple with beer, bars, and women in them. i can think of one song of his with all three in the same sentence.

This Billy Currington guy deserve a "second listen." I had dismissed him as just another bubble-gum country act but came across a few of his songs that got my attention recently. He did a re-make of "Lucille" that I really like--almost better than the Kenny Rogers original. Others that got my attention are "That's Just Me," "That Changes Everything" (really good), and this "People Are Crazy" song.

On the subject of music, I heard a song on the radio the other day I liked. That evening, I looked it up so I could download it. I was a shocked to learn "All Summer Long" is sung by Kid Rock....even more shocking is that Kid Rock made the favorites list on my mp3 player

The best country music I have ever heard getting radio play is in Texas. It's one of treats of going down that way...that and fried okra and sweet tea :D . God bless Texas!! :tiphat:

Billy Carrington was on stage at Camrose when the stage blew down. Billy got a black eye and a concussion. His bass player was trapped under the rubble for half a hour a needed surgery on his arm. Another person was killed when it went down.

Never really listened to Gretchen Wilson songs, and I guess I never care to.

I still think Billy Currington is the right singer for this song, you think otherwise! I think we're gonna have to agree to disagree! 8)

fair enough  :D

Our son loves this song and his great aunt thinks the song makes no sense at all. Difference in generations I guess. :D

Have you ever seen Grechin Wilson??? Leanin' H says she looks like she's been rode hard and put away wet!!

That's all Kenny Chesney can sing about too is beer and Mexico!
