They've got small stream warnings out all around here...I've only got a little over 1/2 an inch so far--but with all the rain we've had in the previous two weeks- there is water standing everywhere.... Some areas around us have an inch to two....And this rain is covering the whole area up here...

Weather Bureau is still saying we could pick up another inch to 2 inchs over tonight and tomorrow...

Been uder a small stream flood warning for a week and half in our county.
Saw one creek yesterday had dropped about 6" but with rain it might go up again. Snowing in the mountains again.

Well, she's plenty wet looking out there this morning. Not sure how much we did get yet though. I'm sure the creek is up again here too.

We live up on a hill, the pups are safe :D

A hill? In Saskatchewan? :P

Glad you're getting some moisture over there, now that the cows are out and we don't have to worry about feeding in mud, we could use a little rain. Weatherman says Thursday.
It has been cool here the last few days.

Yep she's ripping....Still raining and wind blowing...Down here at the River place I now have a little over 1.5 inches--but at the north place my uncle believes its closer to 2.5 inches--but because the creek is out of its banks and running thru the yard he hasn't checked the rain gauge yet.....
Kind of sounds like corrals are a total swamp so there goes branding this weekend.....

I have never seen it this wet here,we have got just over 8 inch's now since the end of april and it' been raining all day again. And they are saying rain for all this coming weekend. The seeding outfit has been sitting since wensday and with the 3.5 inchs this weekend, don't think it will be moving this week and if it rains again this weekend might have to sit all the week after that.We don't have potholes anymore, they have turned more into lakes.Oh well,at least there won't be a shortage of grass this year :D ,should probably be buying pairs to try and keep up with it.

We've had between 1.75 and 2 inches since last night.

The creek this afternoon. Yesterday it was just a trickle

The son's motorcycle, where it has been sitting for about a week. When he drove it there, it was on an island. Guess the water was too deep though, he got the engine wet and it quit him.....Think it will be there for a while yet.

And my runner ducks, which ran away from home. The water was getting low enough that we were starting to plan on how to catch them. Guess they will be staying for a while too....

This whole country looks the same- 2.2 inchs out of this storm- which brings it to 4.3 inches in the last week, which brings it to over 6 inchs for the month :D :D :D :D

West Fork of Porcupine Creek is out of its bank- and flooding some of our hayfields and pasture :D :D - and with all this weeks moisture the little dams that were half full should be overrrunning...... :D :D

NO branding for the weekend- but Life is good...... :D :D

We got 2.86" here but very little of it ran. The creek didn't run here at the place but some of the side draws trickled a little. Sure was a nice soaking. :D

I don't think we got as much at the ranch but the Creek at Big Beaver was out of it's banks and water was gushing under the hiway on the north end of the Big Muddy between big Beaver and Bengough.

Today's Tuesday and your already canceling branding for the weekend? :???:
Not much of a cowboy are ya OT ? :P

PF-If you saw how much water was standing in those sloppy corrals- plus running across the road/pasture getting to them - you wouldn't be overly optomistic.....We may be able to do the bunch over at the gravel corrals- if the creek/road is passable...
Been several years before over the past 50 years (during some of the good grass/rain years) we never got branded til June or even the first part of July.... No big deal/hurry til I move cows to the community pasture the end of July- and gives us longer to look at the bull calves to make the first cull....
I prefer the grass/water this rain will bring.....

The rain they were predicting is just starting, they are saying up to another 2.5 inchs this weekend and on sunday it is going to be mixed with snow  .I'm really starting to wonder,if we will ever get this crop seeded.

This post confuses me a bit. :?
What's canceling a branding because of rain got to do with being a cowboy. Don't we all make our own management decision?
And OT calls frank PF :? What's that all about? Am I missing something?
