I kind of skimmed across the top of Montana from Plentywood to Shelby yesterday-it was a great day and I got the rest of the bulls we need at the Waldorf gathered. My back wasn't too ouchy after 700 miles by the time I got back up across the medicine line. Looped up to home tonight and surprised the family-have to pick up a pasture plow and wire tomorrow on way back south. My buddy had some hired help troubles so we couldn't go to Beckton's so I got a bunch of other stuff taken care of. Admired I LUV Hfds bull at Ace's-good eye m'lady!!!

Well NR- I sure wish you would have given me a shout when you were travelling thru-- BUT with all our roads out here under water- we wouldn't have gotten together anyway...Elseways I always have a room or two for folks travelling thru.....

With the snowmelt and floodwaters continually rising- and predictions I'll be "flooded in" for at least 7-10 days- I'm going to miss some of the better maternal cow sales in the state ( Eayrs Angus, McNamee Angus, Spear J Red Angus)--- :(

Water better drop one of these days- because in about 25 days I'll be out of hay down here on the river bottom.....And I'm already tired of being a batchelor with the wife moving to town again for the flood duration..

The only thing good- is on the prairie where it has melted- the grass mixed in the old grass is green and already 6" high......
