Our daughter from Eastern Kansas arrived last Wednesday to take two other grandsons from near here home with her to spend Spring break. Her plan was to leave Saturday AM for Kansas. Well, due to weather, she is now planning to take off on Monday. Did you ever wonder that God never has to change His plans because of unforseen circumstances. Why is it that we sometimes have trouble trusting God who is that knowledgable and powerful? I am so full of "helpful suggestions" that it is plumb disgusting. He has a plan, and will bring it to fullfillment (Ephesians 1:11). We also know that His plans are for our good. Well have yourselves a good Sunday mornin' and as we go about our week, let us know that God is sovereign.

Thanks, Shortgrass. It is reassuring to know that God is in charge instead of us. No two neighboring ranchers can even agree on what they'd "like" the weather to be. One can be praying for rain, but the other one has hay laying in the field and really hopes it doesn't rain for another couple days. God knows what is best, and He has an eternal plan that will be fulfilled.

Makes me think of a question that came to mind lately and but I'm sure I'm not the first to think of it - does every circumstance work toward the furthering of the Kingdom?

Do the tough circumstances make you better or bitter? It does say that all things work together for good. I can't understand how, but then, I don't have to.

God had his hand on our shoulder on our return from Oklahoma in mid March. We were late getting on the road and when we went through OK City on the interstate there was quite a traffic jam. As we crept along, we saw signs of wreckage and when we got to the end of the jam, there were 2 semi's side by side off the road in the median and they were wrecked. There was an article in the paper the next day about the wreck and several cars/trucks were involved. Had we left when we intended to, we may well have been right in the middle of the accidents.

Just a reminder to us that God IS IN CHARGE.

Thanks, Shortgrass for your message.

I have never had a car accident but I have had many horse accidents and tipped over two tractors without very much damage to me but the closest call I ever had was when I was visiting a family when in my youth.

After a picnic all the kids my age decided to go swimming in a dam on La Creek. The r es t were all talented swimmers. I could duck paddle a few feet but didn't ever want to get far from shore. The rest were out quite a ways in deep water. I was wading up to my waste and then swam a short distance and planned to stand up and rest, When I stood up I went under. I came to the top but didn't have the abiliity to go f ar and, again, stood up to go under. I managed to come to the top once mor4 and thought I was a goner so that time I stood up I held my hands in the air in case someone might see where I was. That time I waas in waste deep water again! I evidently had gotten into the old creek bed and God stirred me in the right direction!

I have often thought how great and wonderful a life I'd have missed if I had gone down once more! I have thought many times that God must have had some kind of a purpose for keeping me around these many years. I Undoubtedly have disappointed him more than once!
