Good Sunday Mornin'

Did ya' ever think to yourself that you were going to get something done, but then ya' had this other great idea pop up and ya'did that, and forgot the first thing you had planned? Well, when I did this blip two weeks ago about Burnt's post, Ya' just never know, I had planned to take another twist on that thought, but last week some other notion preempted the first idea, so meanwhile, back at the ranch, two weeks ago I mentioned how necessary it was to be ready to meet the Lord, because ya' just never know when your time may be up. The first thing we think of is to have your peace made with the Lord, but is it not equally important to have your peace made with your fellow man? How many times have we intended to get things right with a family member or neighbor, but just never done it. We let lots of things that are of lesser importance preempt something of greater importance. As we set our daily priorities, we really need to include the really important things, like relationships, before it's too late. Enough ramblin' on……….I'm tired, and you'll be yawnin' too d'rectly………Have yourselves a good Sunday mornin' and a fine rest of the week too.

as i set my daily priorities,i have to put God first,then my spouse and loved ones,then my job and so on.,,why??

as my dad lay die'n of pancreatic cancer and i indused the last shot of morphine,he wanted to be with his family but needed the Lord for direction.
as my young daughter lay in the hospital with an avian virus that only 5 other people in the 48 states have had,fighting death,she wanted her daddy but needed the Lord for direction.

this has not been an easy lesson for me,i appreciate your thoughts and incites this Sunday morn and hope u got some rest.

Life is too short and much too IMPORTANT to hold grudges and not forgive folks. How silly we will feel when we stand before God and ask for forgiveness when we couldn't do the same for our fellowman? Shortgrass, your sermons always inspire me to work a little harder everyday. For that, I thank you! If there are those here on Ranchers I have offended, wether accidentally or on purpose, I hope ya'll can forgive a sinner.

A congregation not far from here put up a new church building to replace their old one which no longer met their needs.

When they planned to hold an auction to sell off the contents of the old one, I heard one older member make the following remark: "I'm gonna buy one of these old benches for the nights that I can't sleep cuz I sure could sleep in'em on Sunday morning." :lol2:
