Yea, though I walk ____________the Valley of the Shadow of Death, I shall fear no evil, for Thou art _________me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me. I'll bet no one had any trouble filling in the blanks. Those are two key words to obtain the comfort David speaks of. "Through" and "with" speak volumes. Whatever Valley of the Shadow of Death we face, we will do well to know that God is with us and we will get through it. I picture a portal leading from one open, sunny park to another. The Valley as described here seems more like a narrow canyon, and not one to be enjoyed either. Remember that He will Guide us through the narrows into a place that will open up and allow the Sun to shine again. It will be a different place than where we began, but there is no returning. God asked Job if he could stop Pleiades or Orion; the answer is obvious and it is "NO". This constellation marked the changing of the seasons. Seasons of our life will change, and there will be no stopping or going back, so enjoy and savor the new place. Don't remember the "best years of your life" so much you fail to see how good today is. He will lead us onward to an unimaginable, beautiful place that will last forever. My 65 years have taught me that I am ready to go, but I sure intend to enjoy the trip! I look forward to tomorrow. Each new day is a new opportunity. Have a good Sunday mornin' and a great rest of the week - - I intend to!

Church of the Stolen Ewe

A couple years ago after the sheep and cattle had come off the forest our range herder that also a Baptist Minister, found a range ewe and lamb , he put them in with is Cavy . Winter rolled around and he knew his neighbor in the Mormon Bishopric up the canyon had a herd of dairy sheep so he took them and put them in that flock.
Well next spring the Sheep men hauled his small flock across the valley to get sheared, were a crew was set up at a larger range operation. The owner there was walking by the pen and saw his ewe and lifted her out of the pen then into his sheep. He quickly confronted the Dairy Sheep owner and asked where the ewes lamb was. The Dairy sheep owner called his wife who hurriedly brought over a box of lamb processed at the local meat plant.
Wyoming requires a brand inspection and the brand inspector got involved. He said it was the Auburn Ward Bishopric and the Baptist Minister sheep rustling ring.
