Several years ago, my daughter had couple of 4H steers. One was pretty ornery, and would try to kick a lung out of her or fight what ever he was asked to do. She was unable to sell that steer at fair, so he went private treaty. My folks bought a side of that beef, and it is the only beef my daughter ever refused to eat! I'd encourage her to eat the rascal to get even with him. No dice; she had forgotten all the times he had made her so mad. We can relate to some ol' bovine that has given us all kinds of problems, but we are fond of the critter anyway. Why is it so easy to forgive a cow, and so impossible to forgive a neighbor that Christ loves enough to die for? I reckon that is just wrong. Something to ponder for the week. Have a good Super Sunday mornin'.

Thanks, Shortgrass. That is a very good message for this time of year when cabin fever is so prevalent. I think everyone is on edge and a bit grouchy after what seems to be a long winter. And it ain't over yet. :( In my own case it is "calvin' fever," as we got our first calf yesterday. Yesterday was a melting day, but windy, cool, and gloomy, and there are mud puddles galore. This reminds me of why I don't want to calve later in the spring when this kind of weather is the norm. However this morning it is still windy, 27 degrees, and snow is accumulating on top of the frozen over mud puddles. Tuesday night the temperature is supposed to get down to minus 10. Sure wish the Old Farmer's Almanac would come out a year in advance. :???:   One thing about our trials and tribulations, if we put our faith in God and ask for His guidance to give us strength, He will help us to prevail. :-)

Thanks Shortgrass. Your message brings home the whole point of "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us". While this applies to people, a few past and present bovines come to mind also.

Soap, your weather is about the same as here. I just went out to plug the tractor in for a bit and it's 15 degrees now. Yesterday was a sloppy mess with water on top of mud on top of ice that made for some very slick going.

While out feeding I found myself with the tractor sliding sideways on a hill toward a dam. Let's just say the driver's ed method of turning the steering wheels in the direction of the skid along with a proper application of foot brake is good advice.

This morning it's a little prettier out there with a fresh coat of snow on top of everything again.
