If anyone does plan on going in November, I'd like to find someone(s) to share some travel expenses from the airport. Greg recomended St. Louis which is about 2.5 hours.
Like I said, the October one filled in 7 days, I was kind of suprised too. the November one is listed on his website but it hasn't been advertised yet. SGF should be coming out within the next week or two, I'm not sure how many slots are left to fill; I'm sure I'm not the only one who has registered for November. The November one is exactly like the October one, it's also limited to 30 people.
BTW, if you can't go, Greg Judy has a new book out called Comeback Farms. It assumes you already know the basics of grazing.
The SGF conferences pull a good group, people willing to cough up the money generally have a positive attitude. The networking is great. The Money conferences was bigger then the other one I went to, also less expensive. At that one they went around the room having everyone introduce themselves. Alan Nation is a master at putting the right speakers together.
Bart, what part of Florida are you in? I have family (vegetable producers) in Homestead and I spent a winter scouting crops in Belle Glades while I lived in Jupiter. Florida has the best fishing in the U.S., you can do a different type of fishing every day of the year. I never got a chance to do any freshwater though.
