Greg Judy's High Dentsity Clinic?

One way I'm looking at it is that I predict that airline prices will keep going up and up and I won't be able to fly to these things in the future.

Ben, I went to a lot of Allan's conferences through the 1990s. Then I realized that what ever I learned there, more than likely, had to be modified and adapted to my ecosystem. Don't get me wrong, I learned a lot of good information. Actually sat next to Greg out in Texas(might have been Memphis) when he was first getting started and I'm sure his program will be a good learning experience.
Mob grazing is right in line with Savory's hoof action idea and I sure you have enough experience to try it on your place. Pack'em tighter and move them more often.

I met Greg in Jackson last January at Graziers Money (SGF), also heard him talk in VT about High Density grazing last winter. This looks like a big step beyond what I've learned so far.

I went to the Money Conference as well, it was the first of such gatherings for me.

I wanted to go to his pasture walk this year, but between the cost of the class AND the airline ticket, hotel stay and probably a rental car, and in light of the sluggish economy down here, I'll be staying home.

Lots of good information at the Money Conference, but I believe the greatest thing ,I got from it was the encouragement from listening to these guys and while they don't have all the answers, they sure seem to be on the right path, especially for some folks like me who are smaller producers with fewer resources.

I'd sure love to go...and kind of planned on....but now you're telling me it's sold out!! I may try to go to the next one if I can get registered in time.

If anyone does plan on going in November, I'd like to find someone(s) to share some travel expenses from the airport. Greg recomended St. Louis which is about 2.5 hours.

Like I said, the October one filled in 7 days, I was kind of suprised too. the November one is listed on his website but it hasn't been advertised yet. SGF should be coming out within the next week or two, I'm not sure how many slots are left to fill; I'm sure I'm not the only one who has registered for November. The November one is exactly like the October one, it's also limited to 30 people.

BTW, if you can't go, Greg Judy has a new book out called Comeback Farms. It assumes you already know the basics of grazing.

The SGF conferences pull a good group, people willing to cough up the money generally have a positive attitude. The networking is great. The Money conferences was bigger then the other one I went to, also less expensive. At that one they went around the room having everyone introduce themselves. Alan Nation is a master at putting the right speakers together.

Bart, what part of Florida are you in? I have family (vegetable producers) in Homestead and I spent a winter scouting crops in Belle Glades while I lived in Jupiter. Florida has the best fishing in the U.S., you can do a different type of fishing every day of the year. I never got a chance to do any freshwater though.

Hi Ben;

I live across the state from Homestead over here in Naples.

The fishing here is real good, just seems I'm mostly busy with work and church and our children.

I own a small welding company and started doing this cattle thing on the side, We're hoping to make a career and location change in a few more years just as soon as my wife aquires her teaching degree.

I sure enjoy reading all the conversations on this board and all the helpful advice and sharing. If I forget to say it, Thanks to everyone who contributes here!!
