That's a brute for sure, but why the copyrights by 2 different people?

Here's the website for the first photo (some beautiful pics), I think he's from down BMR's way.

and Gordon Hoffman is a photographer for PBS

In my opinion it looks poorly photoshopped to me. After a summer of digging roots and ground squrrels the claws would be far more blunt than that and the eyes have a taxidermy look to me.

i'm no bear expert. but the more i look at it, i kinda agree with you gcreek.

Me TOO! Guess i'd better pay a little more attention to stuff. The email looked legit but the more i look at the picture and the different names on them the more it looks like i took the bait!

wow, dont leave home with out a 357 mag.

I wonder how much more p*ssed off a big old grizzly would become if you stuck 6 .357 Mag rounds in him :???:

I saw a fella try to shoot a rampaging Charolais bull with a 357 Mag once- and 6 rounds between the eyes only made him madder...Luckily someone had a 30-30 handy...
I'm not a big fan of the 44 Mag-- but I think thats what I'd be packing in bear country... Or even better- a 444 Marlin or 12 gauge... :-)
