Sorry for your loss Denny. Your brother is in better hands now, and in a place where there is no sufffering.

Still. we celebrate their life, not their death. Remember the good times you had together. Life is a gift, but there are so many things in life that we do not understand.

Besides my parents, I have lost two brothers, one in a farm accident, the other to cancer. It has been 20 and 21 years now. I still miss them and wish they were here. I sometimes wonder how things would be today if they were still with us.

I know there is nothing we can do that will help, but want you to know that we care.

Condolences Denny... You know you made the right decision... Hope everything with the sale goes good....

Elder Russell M. Nelson said" Death is a necessary component of our eternal existence. No one knows when it will come, but it is essential to God's plan of happiness. Thanks to the Atonement of the Lord, eventual resurrection is a reality and eternal life is a possibility for all humane kind."

Made it home tonight the bulls did'nt set any records 25 hd at $1892 top bull was $3600. I'm more satisfied that we sold them all and they will prove out for their new owners. A friend called and said what in the Hell happened out there. The reality is you need to build a customer base and a relationship with these folks not just show up and top the market. I'd much rather have these people make some money and feel good about it than have some out of stater show up take the money and run.Had 2 bulls out of the sale one was a bit small and the other poked his eye out.I'll do it again next year.

Luke's funeral is tomorrow already, his wife just wants him buried not laying in a cold morge. It's been a wild week to say the least.

I'd say you did fine for the first time and that far from home Denny. Repeat buyers and word of mouth will improve things next year.

Condolences to your family.

I am glad your bulls sold well and i hope you continued success in the years to come. Please know we are thinking of you and want to express our love and sincerest sympathy.

Denny I think you did well for your first time out at Mobridge. It does take time for word to get around and folks are sometimes hesitant to try something new. Ranchers will take note of their neighbor's calves out of your bulls.

OT, but congrats to Doug on his production sale at Philip's "Bull Day". I did not attend but was impressed with the sale results posted. Herefords topped the sale average of the six breeds sold with a $3555 average. Doug's sale average beat that. There were also some 2 yr old Herefords from IL that sold quite well.

Dead on as far as building the customer base. 5 years ago I averaged $1700 and this year it was $3600. It is hard to be patient but that is the only way to make it work.

Sorry about your brother. Timing is always bad on a deal like that but this seems exceptionally bad. Knowing he is in a better place is a comforting feeling. Unfortunately some people don't have that knowledge.

By the way John, my 2's outsold the Illinois 2's but I had yearlings also to bring my overall average down a little.
