I don't mean to make you jealous, but it's supposed to snow another 26 inches here wednesday/thursday  :D . I'll try my best to keep it down here, but no guarantees! This winter may be interesting... to say the least. Sure glad I sent half of a load of old cows down the road this fall. If this keeps up, I may have to show up on Lilly's doorstep with my cows for calving... Lilly, you won't even know we're there...!

Sounds like we're in for a bit of weather this week too, but I don't think we're expecting measurable accumulating snow.

I won't be too jealous if you keep your white gold to yourself this time. I remember November 5, 2008 too well and I really need some more decent fall weather this year.

Pretty nice day here today- mostly sunny- temps in the low 50's- a normal 20 mph breeze blowing....Worked cows all day and you couldn't have asked for much nicer...Inspected about 500 head being shipped- then had to run to the court house for a few minutes and take off the Brand Inspectors hat and put on the Judges hat---But about 5PM when I was heading home it started spitting rain- and now its off and on drizzle....
On the radar it looks like the whole northern part of the county- up into Canada is getting rain...
Predicting a chance of rain and/or snow all week long....
I'd just as soon the snow held off- as I still have grazing left- and we are not scheduled to go with the calves til the 11th---then have a month or two's grazing on the river bottom for the cows...
I'd love to make it to the New Year before I had to roll out a bale...

You and your cows'd be welcome....just leave the nasty cold stuff at home.

Stay safe and warm...man I'm glad we don't hafta deal with that kinda weather!

I'll take the snow and cold over torrential rain and hurricanes any time Lilly. If you are used to it, snow just costs money for removal. Hurricanes, like ex- wives, can take the house.

Well..........our forecast deteriorated in short order. We now have a winter storm warning. This afternoon through tomorrow night is supposed to be pretty miserable with several inches of snow and plenty of wind to go with it.

WR--you were supposed to keep this one to the south!!

Take heed men and women. We have global warming these are just mild turns in the weather you are witnessing. Sunny warm days are on the horizon.

A.G. will rescue you as soon as he can find an empty phone booth.

Thanks Lilly! :D If we show up, I'll bring along plenty of hay for your cows too. Actually our hay hauler has been busy delivering loads to Texas this fall, he can just drop a few loads off at your place.

I tried Richard!!! :D I wish I could send you some big boulder formations and trees.

GCreek, luckily snow removal doesn't cost much up here... the wind usually does the job for us if we can wait a few days. Plowing the road in this country really makes a mess once the snow drifts. Wind drives me nuts (okay, nuttier ) most of the winter, but it does open the ground back up after a storm. The worst part of any snowstorm up here isn't the actual storm, but the 5 day ground blizzard which follows... that's when it gets outright dangerous and miserable.

It snowed about 8 inches last night, and has been snowing steady all morning. I don't plan on leaving the house today  :D
