My father had a blue roan horse he sold this past weekend. Sold it just for what it was hard headed, mean, and needed to just be gotten rid of. It brought a very very nice price. A mexican man was at the sale giving to much for horses that had color.

At the same sale my Dad brought home two nice gentle bay horses that just haven't seen much time out in a pasture that he barely had to give a thing for. Seemed at that sale broke wasn't what was wanted rather color. Makes not a lot of sense to me....... :???:

Last time I cowboyed in Montana I rode a little paint mare with a gooch eye that I called Shania because she was so homely. They'd rode her with a curb bit and she had a terrible hard mouth-I switched her to a snaffle and rode her picking up A'I in a four section pasture. Basically she was soo miserable that I was the only one would ride her. Here six years later they sold her to a guy in Minnesota and he came and picked her up. You'd of thought he could of found an ugly-choppy gaited Paint mare a bit closer to home lol.
