It's suppost to be cold and windy all week!
 
-17 C this morning on the hilltop. There is another flurry blowing through now.
We had a mini-blizzard yesterday noon that left 2 inches on the ground, visibility was less than 100 yards.

I sure hope it freezes hard again tonight or it could get ugly getting trucks out in the morning.

Ya just have to embrace it. Look for the positives like how much more you can do on frozen ground. 8)

If I was fortunate enough to have either common sense or money I probably wouldn't be ranching here. :lol:

As Per and I have quoted Dorothy though..... There is no place like home. :wink:
 
I heard that the area I live in has has more wind and stronger winds this last year than the Lethbridge area, now that is screed up. There is a reason I don't live in that area anymore, but at least it was usually hot air blowing.. :lol:

When the vet was out to semen test last month, I asked him why it is always windy here when he comes .He said "I thought it was always windy here as I have yet to be here on a calm day in the 7 years you have been here." :roll:

I found a tick on me today- and threw it in the toilet bowl...Looked a few minutes later and he was surfing on the whitecaps the wind was causing in the toilet... Just needed some Beachboys music :wink: :P

We've had rain every day since Thursday-- and are over 2 inches--but I don't think I've ever saw a wind like this with the rain...
Just keeps howling the mournful howl...And we're only getting the 40-50mph wind - some of central Montana is getting 60 and 70 mph winds...

And the forecast here is calling for another Pacific Trof moving thru- and rain/cool/windy for every day thru next Tuesday...
 
i wouldn't want to be one of those ranchers on the sun river valley west of great falls. that valley records more wind velocity than anywhere. i'd bet those boys had fun today.
 
Well, it got up near 90 degrees here today and tomorrow is looking like the same. Have been running the a/c all day.

Tonight I've got the electric mattress pad turned on and a electric heater running. Tomorrow is supposed to be about 45 degrees for a high temp. :shock: :roll:
