Ice Road Truckers

MY BOYS ARE SIMPLY ADDICTED TO "ICE ROAD TRUCKERS" AND WILL NOT MISS AN EPISODE.....HECK, I GET QUEASY JUST WATCHING THE SHOW AND WONDERING HOW ANYONE SURVIVES!!!

My guys love the show too...... Can even watch the reruns over and over again....Personally I think it is one of the dumbest shows on earth and bear is a total butt head and the guy with the stupid laugh( I can't think of his name right now... I want to say Phil) I would like to choke..... Must be a man thing...

After seeing the reality of what happens on some of these "reality shows" (like the hunting shows) -- and all hype they build- and promote- with something simple-- I have a tough time watching any of them...

Sure you're not thinking "Ice Pilots", which is filmed in NWT?

Ha Ha, most of them were.
There are 3 that have taken the challenge of the Himalayas. One is out already, he didn't make the first day there. Don't think he got out of town before he quit. He never even made the mountains.
Drivers there are nuts!!!!!!!

Ice Pilots NWT is pretty good.

I don't like driving out on the lake to ice fish the truth be known. A school teacher just north of us went through an ice road and died this spring. Not for the faint of heart.

I got shoer the 3 seasons of Ice road. Every time we are together with a TV he wants to watch either one.........I cant get him to understand I dont need the visual in my head while he is out driving.
Same reason I really dont think about where he is in the winter....Too much worry.

What is worse he wants to move to Alaska and drive for them
And he worries about me in prison

Flying Wild, Alaska new on Direct TV same channel as Gold Rush Alaska

Hugh Rowland, aka "the Polar Bear" is an arrogant, pompous POS who has NO REGARD for his employees (Rik Yemm & Drew, season 1), his employer, his equipment, and any fellow drivers. His "turn & burn" philosophy is great for racking up load count, but worthless otherwise. Forcing Rik & Drew to drive worn out, substandard, and totally unsafe trucks without any regard for their personal safety shows what a truly greedy bastard he really is. That man would NEVER get behind the wheel of anything I owned.

Alex Debogorsky could drive for me anytime, as could Jay (season 1). There are some others who could, as well. Lisa is quite a pilot, for sure. Rik Yemm.....nope. He gets too retarded behind the wheel and can't keep his mouth shut. The only reason Rik lasted on Deadliest Roads is because he is as mentally challenged as the native drivers. Watching them try to wiggle their way out of Delhi reminded me of how they drive in the Philippines. They drive EXACTLY the same way there. I don't fault Alex one bit for going home after one day. He has a family to think about, and dying ain't much of a living.

The guys on Gold Rush Alaska need legal guardians, brain transplants, and should be wards of the state, especially the old man and his son with the Taliban goatee. Utter retards in my book.

loomixguy, on both posts above you said exactly what I wanted to say an you got it across better than I could have. Thanks for saving me the typing.

   That show is a wreck waiting to happen. Ya get rid of the father ,son and Jimmy Dorsey. I think the other guys aren't to bad. They all seem to stand around while the crippled up guy does the fixing. :?

They look like MIT grads compared to Jimmie (the old man) of S&S Aqualogging on Axe Men, though. He will end up killing his son, somehow.......
