We are in eastern Idaho for the second reception for the wedding. West of Idaho Falls. Amazing county with water like I've never seen. Cow country for days and days. The irrigation cooperative pumps water up from the aquifer into a canal system. Then it's distributed out to more pumps for the pivots. Hay and corn and cereal grains and of course, potatoes!!!!! Headed to this shindig here shortly. But here are some pictures of the canals and water

Just turn to the west and we will show you lots of water. Get to the treasure valley and you will see a lot more irrigated farm ground than are seeing over there.

Man I love to make a left turn and head your way Nicky and Webfoot. I'm about wedding'd out!!!!! Met a bunch of awesome people. Been fun but I need to get back to the desert. To many people and this water is making me question my sanity. 😂

Ya H You better go visit Nicky and after that it's just a Hop, Skip and a Jump to Gcreek's
That's one hell of a hop. A monster skip!!! And the jump would win me an Olympic medal.

Someday I wanna make that trip. Maybe when I get the kids raised. And I ain't going to Canadaia without coming to see you

Had a blast on Sunday just seeing some cool country. Explored a draw with Indian writing in it. Saw an old stage stop ruins. Was a fine time. Made the five hour trip home and back to work this week. Hailey is joining a wonderful bunch of people in her new husbands family.

We ran up and checked on their cattle. Pretty country

Had a blast looking around this canyon in some lava country. Lots of neat stuff to look at and climb on. My mother went with us and my nephew. Was a great time. Lots of great folks in Idaho that turned out to support the new couple.

Who said I didn't? INL was just west a little bit.
Uncle had a place bordered the INL at the big buttes, He had a well that used a railroad tank car for a reservoir tank. Me another kid put in 2 miles pipeline with a JD1010 tractor and a 3-point hitch blade. pipeline air locked on every ridge. The next year he had a blade burying miles and miles of pipeline off 2 different wells. The spring I was there one of the Matador ranches had 2500 quarantine cows on the place that needed bleed and tested.

I was born in Arco, Mike says that is why I have an electric personality!
Were a Couple Taylor brothers from Arco came to Star Valley and had honeybees. One sold his bees and built the lazy bee motel. later sold it and had a ranch in Auburn. The other took his bees to Faith SD, he had a daughter my age. Talking with a Guy at the sale barn in Belle that was from Faith, asked him about the Taylors. he said they were good people, his neighbors and put bees on his ranch. A bit latter he leans over and said "you know they are Mormons"

It is amazing what water does for a country! One of our girls married 1000 miles and 14 hours away. Boscobel Wisconsin which is 25 miles up the Wisconsin River from its confluence with the Mississippi. What a productive area! It is so interesting to visit producers from different areas of the country. Seems as if his crew feels they have gained a daughter. That's how its designed to work.
