PRAISE GOD!!! I woke up this morning to rain and we wound up with an even inch. We hadn't had rain in a month to the day. For some of you that probably isn't much but for us that is a very long time, especially in May. We aren't out of the woods yet, but everyone sure has a smile today!

I went north today and checked out the pastures and wheat fields at the north place...Rain gauge is the proverbial "hair" below 2 inches.., Not too much water standing around as it looks like most soaked in good....

Creek is running two wires high- altho thats expected because up toward the head waters by the Canuck border supposedly got 3-4-5 inches...

70% chance of showers tonight and tomorrow- predicted nice 80 degree weather for the weekend and then more rain for next week:

THE AREA WILL REMAIN UNDER A SOUTHWEST TO WESTERLY FLOW ALOFT
THROUGH MONDAY. THEN ON MONDAY A STRONG DEVELOPING TROUGH SLAMS
INTO THE PAC-NW COAST. THIS STORM SENDS AN ABUNDANT AMOUNT OF
MOISTURE OVER THE DIVIDE...SPREADING RAIN INTO NORTHEAST MONTANA
TUESDAY AND POSSIBLY WEDNESDAY. ACCUMULATING QPF COULD ADD UP TO
AROUND AN INCH.

Altho this shuts off a lot of things that need to be done----We better take advantage and enjoy all we can get before the faucet shuts off....

We had another .15" this morning, with cooler temps. Timely rain as we have all the hay up and bales moved, hope we can get some nice regrowth.

We are AIing cows and it has rained all day long today and have gotten right at an inch. Sure looks good around here :)

It won't stop raining here every couple of days. 1st cutting needs to be done but the weather liars are predicting rain for saturday, monday and tuesday. We had over 2 inches yesterday.

We had four clouds come across to day, slower than the winds at ground level. Anybody gets too wet, I know a good place to send the excess.

Well it's finally raining here this morning although not too much yet, maybe 1/4 -1/2 inch.

This is the first we've had in almost a month and brings our total to less than 2" since the snow left in March. The hay and triple mix has been shortened up a lot already, but the pastures should start to come back now again.

Unbelievably dry here for June 1st.

After the weekend I knew up on the summer pastures and grass hayland we had received 2"... Then the last day or two the thunderstorms went thru- and the gauge showed today we had picked up another 1/4 inch....

Really didn't sink in until today when we were trying to dig in some new corner posts- and gate posts.... 2 foot into the ground we hit the water table- and water in every hole  :( :D :???:

Good news is with all the moisture- and wamer temps-- the native grass and prarie hay and dry land alfalfa is really starting to look like it may make a crop... Need some warm weather to go with the moisture........

At 4.9 inches and counting for this storm. It is supposed to stop raining sometime tuesaday. Those that need water come help yourself and just return it the first part of July. :D
