Ivermectin question....

What does t say on the bottle?
I think it's pretty stable stuff
I found this:
To maintain the quality and safety of the product, it should be kept out of reach of children and pets, and should never be exposed to temperatures higher than 25°C. Additionally, it should not be used if it has been frozen and should only be used within the expiration date marked on the product packaging.

I hear a sigh and sense a reluctance :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I know it is hard to toss anything especially when it is from our own negligence.

Having an inquiring mind, I did a study this morning trying to find the reason why temperature regulation is so important with this drug. Here is what I summarized from some lengthy reading.

Moderate temperature regulation in a dry environment is necessary because this drug can deteriorate rapidly with heat and moisture. High heat can change the chemical composition that won't revert back even if cooled.

Freezing changes the molecular structure of the carrier liquid and unthawing leads to separation and deterioration of some necessary ingredient
s.

Here is a great write up about this very useful drug, with lots of info that might come in handy on the ranch for both humans and animals.

Sue really want one of those coolers , meds inside and the they have the holders for the syringes that are also insulated going inside off the top....
B has one of those coolers which he made himself. Just got a cooler the right size. Drilled holes in the side for PVC the right size with caps on the end. He probably had the material laying around, otherwise it would cheaper to just buy one.
