A very close hunting partner and friend of mine lost his son in Afghanistan on wednesday, October 13th. The young man was 19 and had been married less than a year. He was deployed a week late so he could witness his son's birth who is now 5 weeks old. Jordan went into the Army as a way to pay for medical school and was a bright, smiling, intelligent young man. He was killed while helping a wounded soilder during combat as he was a medic. He was on his 2nd patrol of his deployment. I'll post a link to a news story about it.
Just let's all remember the sacrifice made regardless of how we feel about politics and war. Please do not turn this into something political even in the slightest. Lots of families are waiting for THIER soilder to return home. And lots of brilliant and amazing young men and women are in harms way today. ALWAYS remember them all when you hit your knees. Thank You.
