I bought that book on my escapade this last time going to SD....but the TSA went thru my bags and it's missing!!

In fact 2 of the 4 books I bought are gone!!

It does sound good, will check library for it...my BIL was raised Morman, interesting stories! He left the church when in highschool but his parents and one brother still practice

I've cousins in Wyoming that are Mormon. We all went on a rafting trip down the Salmon one year....not that was something. I'm a Mt Dew addict...and since they do not indulge in caffine etc.....no Dew on the trip.

I was about to climb the canyon wall from caffeine withdrawl.

But we all had a great time...I learned a lot about their religion and learning always a good thing!!

I'm a mormon, I lived in Utah for many years although i'm an Idaho native. I have followed the polygamist hunt pretty closely and i hope people understand that those groups are splinter groups that are actually banned from the LDS church and are in no way sanctioned or acknowledged as mormons by mormons. That being said i have had some interesting thoughts lately about polygamy. (I'm not a polygamist I have a wife and 2 little girls.) With all the media attention on how evil polygamy it got me thinking. What is the difference between a guy who has 2 wives who know about each other and a guy who has a wife and a girlfriend on the side. If we look at mainstream america the latter happens alot more often. Some polygamists are perves marrying 14 yr olds but most are not. I think the ones that are should be tried for their crimes. I guess what i'm really interested in is your opinions. What do yall think about this. Do people have a problem with Polygamy? or is it these few whackos trying to marry kids? I take a pretty neutral stance myself. I don't really care as long as they leave the kids out of it.

Me, I could care less who sleeps with whom and with how many....not my business. But I do have a problem when it involves kids or people under legal age.

I dont' claim to be smart enough to know what is right or wrong when it comes to the beliefs of someone else...that's their business not mine.

So I see it like this...if they are happy, not breaking any laws( I know plural marriage is illegal...but aside from that), contribute to society in a good and successful way, raise their family and they are not wanting....live happy and prosper is what I say!

In the background I was raised polygomy was not even thought of as an option, which is probably a good thing because I have no intention of ever sharing my husband of almost 28 years with anybody else. :P

I know in the court system ...my x was married before or divorce was final and had a baby and the court system blew it off when i said thats illegal and he cant do that....but again small town nd probable had something to do with it...all i know is it hurt me bad....and also keep the under age kids out of it ...I sure dont know how they could be ready to be a wife when your 14 i look back what i was like and also my daughters were like...that would be a scary thought....

A guy does'nt have enough time to finish one (HONEY DO) list imagine having two list's sure would cut into any free time.

   I have to agree with Denny and IL Rancher...my hubby doesn't have enuff time to run a ranch and the honeydo LISTS, let alone try and keep 2 wives happy....It's a different belief, that I don't understand...but the bottom line is the kids and how they are affected. :???:

Look, to be honest my wife was out of town last week along with the kids and besides the house being ultra quiet it was a very strange thing... Reminded me I would be lost with out the wife being around telling me what to do and how I did things wrong  Nah, it was awfull lonely and it was nice driving up on her and the munchkins at the party we met back up at... Still couldn't deal with two wives.... It was hard enough having two close female friends back in college and I wasn't even dating them.. I'm sure their would be a way to make the poly thing work but it wouldn't be for me, not enough time in the day to apologize to two wives.
