Leona Helmsley has the last word, and it's 'fetch'
New York Daily News
NEW YORK | The Queen of Mean's pampered pooch scored a bone-anza, but two grandchildren were ordered to keep their paws off the $4 billion she accumulated in her lifetime.

Billionaire luxury-hotel magnate Leona Helmsley's will was made public in Manhattan's Surrogate Court.

The biggest winners: Trouble, Helmsley's tiny white Maltese, will be cared for from a $12 million trust. Helmsley's brother, Alvin Rosenthal, will get $10 million.

The biggest losers: "I have not made any provisions in this will for my grandson Craig Panzirer or my granddaughter Meegan Panzirer for reasons which are known to them."

The winners' obligations: Rosenthal will care for Trouble until she dies, at which time she will be buried beside Helmsley and her husband, Harry Helmsley, in a five-star mausoleum that will be maintained with a $3 million perpetual-care trust.

The two other grandchildren, David and Walter Panzirer, sons of her late son, Jay Panzirer, will get $10 million each — but only if they visit their father's grave once a year. To ensure that they meet their annual requirement, Helmsley ordered a guest book installed inside the family mausoleum.

Well I canceled you out :P About the only "pet" I could see leaving in my will would have to be blonde, 5'2", 36-24-36, and named Pam or Tammy or something like that....

I get a kick out of ol Witch Leona tho-- she's still trying to be in control even tho she's dead.....

You'd have to be up on all your shots etc...no mange....

I don't think I would leave a huge chunk to a pet but I would leave enough to see they cared for until a new family could be found. I have both my dogs( they go to my brother and if he can't take nor wants them they go to my best friend) and Dreamer in my will now and it pretty much states that I'm leaving x-amount of dollars to be spent on his care and training until a new owner whos willing to agree to my standard of care is found. ( my standard of care covers daily feeding, watering, health care, and other basic equine care...all I want for him is a good home where he will be used and loved and never abused) But to leave a pet the kind of money stated above is just dumb to me...there are some many people that could use some help, I would have to leave it to a person/people.

We would probably leave a bit of money to someone in order to take care of the pets.. Beyond that, you won't see 12 million left to anyone or anything.... We actually had homes for some of the dogs set up a few years ago if something did happen... Wife worked at a shelter way back when and saw many dogs come in when owners passed.. Pretty sad..
