Less than 20 days till this year is half over. Hopefully it might be real spring today. Just a three of months till we get ready for winter again. I have been waitng three months for spring to come.
How many counted the months of winter or winter spring this year.

It's been snowing here since September 21... and more on the way today  . Ready for a switch to rain anytime now. I've barely started on the fences, and those I've been around, the draws have been completely down. One positive is that it's a good time just to rip out the really bad spots, and rebuild them...something I should have been doing during the drought when I had way more time to spend on fences :? :D .

Justin, you mean next week after this?

HEAVY SNOW POSSIBLE OVER THE BLACK HILLS AND SURROUNDING FOOTHILLS...

.A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF PRECIPITATION TO THE AREA FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT. TEMPERATURES WILL BE COLD ENOUGH FOR HEAVY SNOW TO FALL OVER PARTS OF THE BLACK HILLS AND THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE SURROUNDING FOOTHILLS

i heard we have a 70% chance of rain again tomorrow. we picked up about .3 yesterday. they are talking 60's and 70's starting Friday for a week or so. we'll see, but i'm darn sure ready for it.

That's hard to believe you all are having all of that snow in May. It's been up in the 90's the last few days. It's been 7 weeks since we have had any good rain. The old ground is really starting to dry out. So far our pastures still look ok, but I just don't know how long it can hold out. Head counts at the local sale barn are already starting to go up with right at 2,000 today at East Texas Livestock of that 2,000 600 of it was cows. Ranchers are starting to get a little worried about summer time coming and no rain. Everyone is cutting anything they can to get what hay they can before it gets real bad. Weatherman is saying rain for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but they also said that last week too and we still didn't get any.

May 12th, 2010 I was calving cows in the snow in the same pasture that I was feeding cows in 7 months earlier because of a snowstorm last October. I'd say that's plenty of winter for one year. Maybe two years.
