That picture brings up a lot of old memories- especially looking at the older gentlemen in the middle....Around the homestead- Grandpa always wore his bib overalls-- but when he went anywhere he always wore his whipcord or wool pants (only saw him in levis a couple of times- as he had a bad hip from a bronc wreck and said they fit him wrong and hurt him )- but always with suspenders - and sometimes both belt and suspenders-- and usually wore a vest...

Thanks for the pics.....

Those pictures were great, Bob M. Thanks so much for sharing.
That's a doggone good looking Hereford bull and that is one
sharp looking gray horse.

Another thing that caught my eye, was all the sorrell horses
used back then. The West was won on a sorrell (or a bay).
These days, it seems color sells, but I've always appreciated
a plain old sorrell or bay horse.

And that GF, he sure was what we call, "a tall drink of water."

Thanks for the look back in time. It was great!

I injoy looking at old pictures, so if you & saop are in old pictures you 2 most be old. Even as a angus breeder I have always liked the looks of a mature Horned Hereford bull. Nice pictures.

I I appreciate the response on the pictures we posted. Pictures have always intrigued me. If you happen to be in Merriman you would enjoy dropping in at the bank. Loretta will open the doors into a couple rooms with many pictures that I have taken along with others that friends have furnished.

My last book, Friends and Fancies #6 has 75 photographs and paintings that adorne our walls (can't find space for another picture witihout taking one down), so you know we like picttures. We have more than 1000 eight and a half by eleven enlargements in albums. I haven't done much painting lately but spent most of my time with brush in hand today. I am painting my nephew and his horse on a cattle drive.
