Good side..... every thing I have ever fed them to loved them.
Down side.... they tend to be softer then say dehy alfalfa.

We ran a comparison on them and corn gluten pellets. The wheat mids
won. They are more consistent. The corn gluten pellts looked better on
paper, but in actually feeding the wheat mids were better. Corn gluten
pellets vary a lot in manufacturing.

wheat mids can be soft & dont take much moisture . Cattle really like them . Been feeding corn gluten pellets lately they are much harder pellet cattle like them & do well on them . & they are only a 100 mile haul .

What kind of price are wheat mids these days? Are they usually cheaper if you buy early in the fall.
I think 14% legume based screening pellets are about $140-$150 last I herd local.

Prices in Lethbridge are approx $145-150/Mt del.
S'toon prices are between $125-130/Mt fob mill
I would say cheapest pricing usually falls betwen June-Aug

USA prices much higher as corn is the driver for those USA feeders more so than our Cdn market. Hearing US $200+ /st in MO - TX regions.

They are fairly hot, so be careful how much you feed right off the bat, start slowly.
