This is the guest ranch where I was a wrangler back in 1970. It is a fine establishment, and anyone looking for a memorable vacation in the prettiest little mountain pocket of the world, could do no better than to stay here. Check out their photo slide show. It's a great place, and holds many wonderful memories for me. :-)

I wish I could get people to pay me $365 a day for the privelege to work for me, though I'm guessing some of them might be worth paying $365 to stay away

Guests paid $25 per person per day back in 1970. Wages for wranglers was $150 per month, plus room and board. The staff shared gratuities, which were 15% added on to the bill, and we got a dollar a day bonus if we stayed the whole season until Labor Day. That wasn't a bit hard to do.

My recollections are that I made almost $700 that summer, spent $300 having a good time, and still arrived back home with nearly $400 to show for my summer's efforts.

Hey did you get half naked and paint your body for the entertainment of the patrons? Looks like gcreek was a fencing consultant.
