Things are looking great down your way. :D That fog is sure wide spread. I was bragging how nice it was yesterday and then this morning we are socked in again. :?

My son was on a train to Minot last night- and said they ran into fog all the way...Socked in here again today- and they are saying north of the Missouri may be for a couple of days... :(

Lots of fog here most of the past week too. Today is cloudy but visibilty is good.

Some fog last night coming home from church, but nothing like the week before. That was really pea soup!

With the warmer temps, mud is becoming the trendy thing here.

Babies and moms look great.

Are those Ponderosa pines in the pic. They sure are beautiful .

Thanks!

Yes they are nice trees...except during the last trimester of pregnancy  . They can cause premature calves if eaten during that time. It's nice to get them calved out, and back into good shelter since their "tree free" area they've been in doesn't have much shelter :D .

And Gcreek, today I hit the half-way done mark :D . Still plenty to go, but not near the amount of heifers... I'm a big Lutalyse fan :D . Now the trick is to keep them healthy  .

Well I sure know its cold up there. It got to 70 here today but we got frost warnin tonight. Its tryin to green up but winters hangin on. Sure r some perty country up there, I'd love to see it. One day, maybe.

Sure do have some nice looking calves and heifers! Wish I was doing a little bit of that this year! Love the calving season, don't even mind if you can see your breath at 2am, just love calvin time! Looks like your in a bit of my country too...it is pretty! Enjoy your calving, you would miss it! :(

Everyone talks about people that don't wanna work...we offered a gentleman both of us working (husband and I) for only $30,000 per year, and we lived in his basement and all we wanted was the option to put up a house and keep living that life...needless to say it was my father-in-law and he done run off both his boys and wonders why he can't find good help! Both of us came from 10,000 ac + ranches but no one wants to employ youngsters!.....well I guess all I'm saying is that some of us still like to work, but have been forced to work in town to pay the bills! We're getting along...hope I win the lottery someday so we can ranch again! :)

Happy looking babies...We've had that darn fog for days also...makes ya wonder what's in store for us later on??? It rained all day today..at least it's not snow! Glad you're half done..it'll go smoothly from here on...

Nice pictures, Wyoming Rancher. You are really sailing right along. We are not quite a fourth done calving so far, but they are coming fast enough to suit us the for the way the weather is.

Good caption :D . Sometimes they fall into crevaces, and I hopefully find them before they die  .

I hear you on the weather, it sounds like you're moving along nicely too :-) .

I've really sailed along the past 24 hours, I've had 18 calves which is a lot for this herd :D . I say bring it on, and get as many done before the 20th of March... that's usually when the real fun weather begins up here  :D . Besides that, I'm starting to get tired.

Happy Calving Everyone... I'm going to go get some sleep while I can  .
