Suppertime

One of the highlights of the whole weekend was getting to see this gentleman. He and I were both part of the crew on a twelve-day pack trip through Yellowstone and the Teton Wilderness Area in late August of 1971. We had not seen each other since, and I very much enjoyed our visits during the course of Mule Days.

Lynn Weishaar, auctioneer, and Jake Clark, who conducted a very well-run Mule Days celebration and sale. My hat is off to both of these men.

Taking bids

Good looking gray

Bid on your choice or tie them both together for two times the money. These full sisters, six and seven years old, were broke to ride and drive.

High-selling mule of the sale was a very well trained two-year-old, which brought $12,500 and sold to nice folks from Washington state.

Peach Blossom and our conveyance. For a nice Father's Day present, the Kosmo Kid let us borrow his car which gets 30 miles per gallon. Thanks, son.

The new mule beat us home. All in all, it was a fun-filled few days that Peach Blossom and I thoroughly enjoyed.
