Dad , Britt and I went up town to gather the hfrs and sort the Pb's off so we could place bull. I just used the quad to put them in our rickety old corral which went fine but these hfrs forgot who fed them all winter. We were putting on Cylence as we let the commercial hfrs back but what a job to sort. fence climbing crowding buggers. I had 2 hfrs headed into the alley and they turn the first one kicked me on the way by and the second on hooked the gate with her hip and it pushed her into me against the fence.
I felt like the human eraser rubbing down the fence and wouldn't been to bad until I caught up on the 6 inch spike sticking out. Well we finished sorting and moving them and I am sore with a road rash across my back and a pretty good foot long scratch across my back.
And my 88 yr old Dad kept asking if he should get in the corral and help. NO Dad. He was running the front gate on the alley and Britt ran the back one and the Cylence. It worked pretty good but stressful.

I think a new corral is in order. High steel. :D

you need to stay away from those cows big dummy, you are gettin to old to be messin round like that.
good luck

Better be careful and pound that spike in. When I was a kid we were rideing bareback horse's where I was working. The horse I was rideing was bucking down a plank fence and there was a nail sticking out it caught my pants and ripped them from my knee to my belt. I never got so much as a scratch but it stuck with me as how close it was.A couple months ago I disconnected the safety wire's in my skid loader for the seat and seatbelt getting out once I rocked on the peddles and the loader slammed up catching my arm between the cylinder and the door another inch it would have broke it clean off. As it is I've got a funky looking bicep on my right arm and my safety switch's have been hooked back up.
