Well we finished up #3 of the 3 towns close by celebrating their centennials.
It started with a parade,

Then went to a watermelon feed

Then a quick draw

And finally, the 17th Infantry out of Fort Abraham Lincoln, Mandan ND showed off their Gatling Gun

Lots of fun, visiting with lots of people.

Nothing like a small town parade. :D

Did they have political speeches?

I see they had the manure spreader all decorated up.

My kids used to tell me- and now the grandkids do too-- that they can pick the best candidate running by which one throws the most candy off their float during the parade...

Sounded to me as good a method as any!!

Politicians from both sides of the border were there (one of the disadvantages of being a border-town) including our own LibertyBelle. No speeches per say, but anytime a politician talks, it ends up being a speech!!

That's one of my cousins from Rapid, on the back it says "Campaign Wagon flyin' BS"
