The kids trailed out some buckingh horse hopefulls and their Moms and some young studs the other day. That big sorrel with a star that is right behind Megan is 'Hard Rock Candy' he's not quite two yet but I have high hopes for him as a bronc. That old mare Megan is riding is Flash kind of the boss hog of the horses at our place-20 years old but still can get out and run.

Stored away-the saddle horse youngsters will learn all about muskkegs from their mothers-make them into better mudders when they get broke out. We'll probably leave this bunch out here till spring if things get tough this winter we c an feede if need be. Most times those horses pawing out in a good meadow won't touch much hay.

So, they learn to be mudders from their mudders.... Gosh, that was so easy it wasn't even worth it.

Good pics, NR. Also good looking horses in both groups.

Ranchers try to get all their calves the same colour but variety is the spice of life in a horse herd-we have some more shades in the bunch back at the yard lol.

Saddle horses that just need love and tenderness...
Nice bunch. Too bad they are bred to buck.
I guess the payoff is that Tye can really ride. :D
