This was yesterday. He did real good, he's seven.
They both sure are Jake, Stivers is seven and Shaw Brooks is five. Bailey is almost 19 and in Fayettville, that hurts. Stivers can even drive a pickup by himself, that boy is all the way ready.Jake said:Man that kid is growing.

I didn't get a horse til I was 15 (took that long for my parents to realize
I was serious) but I rode lots of others. Our daughter started riding
way young and she's still riding today.
I remember coming home from town, (she was just a youngster)
and she was standing by a gate
holding her horse and crying because she couldn't shut the wire gate.
She knew better than to drop it and leave. Mr. FH fixed her a rope to
use to shut the gates after that. Mentioning this just to show how many
ways kids learn responsibility--and it doesn't come from sitting in front
of a video machine.
Horses have been darned important to this family.
Looks like you have a real good partner coming up there, jed.
And you certainly have him mounted well. How old is his horse?
