I was wondering if any of you guys new of a place to get cheaper net wrap and in bulk. There was a special going on for the john deere cover edge net wrap that was at about $200 a roll. If you guys know of anything just let me know. Thanks

I don't run coveredge but it cost us 180 for netwrap from our Vermeer dealer.. My neighbor used that price to drag the price down from either a Case dealer or a Deere dealer, I couldn't remember from their 200+ they were charging.. Need to call my dealer, he said this was the time of year to order but I think I will be using twine for my hay...

what is the average cost per bale of net wrap compared to twine? We bought our Gehl the year before they offered net wrap, the computer supports it but the baler doesn't have it. Not sure if it's upgradable or if I would be best off to trade. I know one thing for sure, net wrap is a hell of a lot easier to feed out.

Always thought the sisel twine we used to use was the easiest.... By the time you feed the bales it was half rotten out so when you put the bale down to role it all you had to do was ge the forks underneath it and flip it forward...

The only reaosn we use Netwrap is for stalks as it holds them together better.. The sales guy at the baler shop, and I don't quite believe him btw, said that the cost of netwrap, with it being a faster process, ends up paying for itself in the time you spend baling... That being said, I think they were saying 140 bales a role of 180 dollar wrap for our Vermeer if you were doing hay, 2 wraps. 3 wraps, obviously you got less.

In alfalfa I can get about 200 bales a roll and in corn stalks it is around 110-120. so from 92cents up to $1.7. I can make an extra 10-12 bales an hour in good going buy using net wrap. When I am doing custum work I make all of my money on those 10-12 bales. I have made over 15,000 bales since I bought a netwrap baler a few years ago and have only made 30 twine.
