I'd show the rest of him, but I don't know what I'm looking for and may of messed up and don't know it...

Faster horses said:Sorry about all your breakdowns. We had a major breakdown with our baler, first thing major that has gone wrong with it. Has over 9000 bales through it. We have a dealer right here in town and they had it up and running yesterday, Mr. FH picked it up, started baling about 4 am and got
one bale before the exact same thing happened!! He felt really bad and he was upset as well. So he's on his way to town with the baler...AGAIN...
luckily the person we have leased to is running his baler this morning. They were both going to bale what is down then swath some more. I would think the dealer and helper might have put it together wrong. :???: :?
I know Mr. FH had some concerns about what it was going to cost the first time, let alone twice...
On to your bull, RA. Chances are you will really like the calves out of a black bull and your bally cows won't throw as much white with a black bull. I thought you were getting rid of your cows. I hope that changed.
How old is this bull compared to your Hereford bull? Did you buy this one, or lease him? Aren't you about done breeding your heifers? Good luck, hope you don't have any more breakdowns (of any kind) .
How are those boys of yours doing?

Mee too! I hope your bad luck is over. I am going to sell my bull this fall too. He's 4 and i have 3 calf crops from him with another due in 14'. He's pretty big and has almost as many heifers out'a him as cows that arent. Hate to see him go but it's time. Plus, i get to go shopping at bull sales next spring. A horned hereford may be in my future as well. We shall see. Keep your chin up and thanks for the pictures. It's a pleasure to know ya RA and even neater to call you a pal.![]()
gcreekrch said:You sure that bull ain't a Brangus? He sure looks like there is something more than Angus in there. I'm not pickin' or criticizing, just axin'.![]()
I like him until I get to his back legs, a little too posty to my eyes. I would prefer a bull that was a little sickle hocked over one that is too straight. He is a thick made boy though.
Main thing is too get your cows in calf at this point and I'm sure he'll get the job done for you. As Ol' Hay maker says "Good Luck".

Thanks for the inputs! I don't know what to look for! I just know I loved watching him today..... He's very quiet. I'll be brushing him in no time...
.
Yeah, I'll put the bull down.
My baler broke in two this evening..... I'm staying in bed for a month....
