If most countries see the US and Canada as the same, why did the doors shut to us in December instead of May?

If they did not group you with us ...why did they shut the door at all?

It's because most countries have a zero tolerance for BSE. We used to until the AMI informed the USDA that this policy would cost them money.....

No ...no.. Nice try.. Its because it was proven right there that the North American cattle industry is or was intergrated at one time otherwise there was no possible way for there to be a Canadian cow in the U.s system....and U.S.D.A dropped the ball when they released the meat..

Sandhusker, maybe it was because they hadn't yet taken a good look at the NAFTA agreement or the amount of trade that goes on between the US and Canada. That and they had no legal way of closing they exports until Dec. The Washington cow gave them the legal right to close the exports and the inspection of NAFTA and the records proved you are a risk.

Why do Canadians want their "so called safe virgin beef" sent into this evil dangerous corruption ridden country? Couldn't be that you have no other way of selling it without a USDA stamp and passing it off as a US product? EH?

okay oldtimer let's think this one through once more. canadians don't put the usda stamp on it. it isn't identified as a product of the us. it's usda inspected. that stamp is put on by americans, not canadians. would you rather it wasn't???? we know mcool will make you wealthy, so get on with it. don't forget the mandatory id while you're at it because you, of all people, must know there has to be some corroboration when a claim is made.

It's ok Don, Papa Hat is just a little bitter over how things are unfolding right now.
