Off Topic But

We raise cattle but we also live just 24 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. They are saying the oil from the leaking well will hit our beaches by Monday. My heart is so heavy, I have lived here all my life besides the cattle my favorite thing in the world to do is deep sea fishing. I get the same feeling of awe and wonder when out in the gulf that I do when I look over a field of cows I just don't have the right words to describe it. I can't imagine what this is going to do to the enviornment that as a farmer I work every day to protect. I am praying that they can get this well capped and soon. So many folks in our area make their living from either the fishing industry or tourist this is just horrible. Sorry for talking about something other than cattle but it really is getting to me.

It's okay, gizmom. You didn't step over any line as far as I know.
We share lots of things on this forum...some good, some bad, but
we do share a lot that has nothing to do with cattle, but with life.


There are a lot of prayers headed your way and to all those near
the Gulf. I pray they get a cap on it ASAP.
