Help Support Ranchers.net:

They might need to aerate the water if there are fish in the pond. If you don't have the water churned up it will run out of air and the fish will suffocate or drowned. If there isn't any fish ummmmm it looks neat.

That ol hard grass really puts on the pounds, especially with great genetics to work with  Very nice calves. What do you do with them in the fall? Do you sell by auction or retain ownership and feed them out some where?

now THOSE are some healthy looking bovine!!! Good job and kudos to you and mr. fh!!! Man, what I would give for a few of those nice looking windmills on our place!! How are you folks getting by in this nasty fire season??? Smoky/hazy around your area????

It isn't bad hazy here. And any fires so far, the volunteer firemen
have been right on top of. We are so fortunate that they have the latest
equipment, and that makes a big difference.

We came back from Billings, and it sure looks awful where the
fires were along the Interstate.

When the FS lets these firs just burn, I wonder if they ever give a
thought to what happens to any animals, wild or domestic, that are
in the way?

BTW, we got half an inch of rain last night. YIPPEE!!!!

FH,

If you have more Magnitudes, are they real nice, too?

I know the one you posted is probably really nice compared to the rest, but are they all good?

I've heard a lot of good things about him.

Got him on the short list for a few years down the road, will wait and see how he turns out. I'm not in too much of a hurry on genetics. Can't figure out what is so wrong so that we have to move so fast to get where we don't know where we are going in the first place.

I didn't take a picture of him because he was the best, just because he
was handy to get a picture of. I didn't know who he was even, until we
drove up and I got his eartag number. We'll be moving them soon and
I'll try to get more pictures of Magnitude calves. We chose Magnitude because our deal here is to try and not add any more mature size and also for maternal traits. Hard to find that in ABS lineup. We have a good friend that is an ABS rep, and we only feel right buying from him.

I told you it was coming- but you doubted me    Sad thing is we got 4 inches- 4 inches in between rain drops :(

But it looks like everyone south and east of us got something, which is good...Hopefully Just getting the pump primed for the real rain event that should start about Wed or Thursday- when the cold front out of Canada moves down and the highs drop down in the 50's and 60's....

I didn't doubt you, not for one moment. You're the BEST weatherman.
I just asked what the prediction was for SE Montana.
Nope, don't doubt you...you should hire on to the weather service.
You'd put them to shame.

And we'll take moisture, gladly. Polasky this morning even talked
about snow...though not here.

Looks like a lot of it will depend on if the Canadians will share this time and allow it to come far enough south   Looks like southern Alberta and Saskatchewan will definitely get wet...Their computer runs are even saying as high as 90% chance...
