Was going to burn an old grain bin down in the barnyard but I saw a litter of five baby fox are camped under there guess I'll leave it be till the little gopher killers move on. Dezzie ruined my photo-op on them.

Pretty nice to have those little devils around. They're pretty hard on mice too. I'm sure you'll get another chance for a pic soon

If the dogs leave you alone it doesn't take long to get them to eat out of your hand.

We drowned out a den once and caught the pups... The females settled right down and made great pets- like regular house dogs...The male never did quiet down- and finally had to go when he started living off my mothers chickens that got too close to his chain...

I would imagine the fox wasn't the only unpopular one when the chickens started disappearing
I always like having foxes around, they get pretty brave even if you're not feeding them. Seems like they don't have too much trouble with dogs either (at least not our dogs :???: ) but traffic will thin them out pretty quick. I think the school bus has got more of them than natural causes.

I really like having them around too, although their just isn't much cover for them around here anymore. Everybody in every direction seems hell-bent on knocking down every tree and farming things right to the edge of the grid roads, which makes our place even more of a haven for everything else. We have so many coyotes, that I don't think the foxes stand a chance. We see some every couple of years, then they're gone.
