mmmmm grass fed beef is the best.. sweetest tastin fat you ever tasted..Damn its been too long since i have had any... my mouth was watering tonight watchin it cook :D

Yep. I liked your comment about yellow fat being from a grass finished animal. Now that's advertising!!! and that's what we need more of. Good on you for standing up for your convictions.

I'll take the white fat any day over yellow.Maybe I've never had a properly finished grass fed beef but what I did have was pretty bad.I even feed our hamburger cows grain for awhile..

It seems most cattle producers have a bias against grassfed...unless they are raising grassfed!!!! :o   Even if I stopped producing grassfed beef to sell, I wouldn't eat anything but grassfed!!!!! I guess I'm biased!!

I concur. For the same reason, I don't like "grass-fat" venison. If a deer spent some time eating grain, it might taste better. :-)

We've always eaten grain fed beef. I think if I saw a piece of meat with yellow fat, I'd be wondering if the meat was off. I guess it's just what you get used to. Mind you, we've butchered some heifers that we finished ourselves that were no screaming hell for flavor or tenderness. (Damn Simmentals! :-) )

Well I'm not eating my own now. Guess that's why my freezer is always empty! Sure can't buy beef from the store, doesn't even come close to home growed stuff.

I guess that's why deer hunters down here put corn out for the deer!
My grassfed fat isn't yellow...it's more like antique white. :)
